COLLINE DEFLEURS travelled well buried in the pack and showed the best turn of foot when switched widest to the stands rail in the straight. She has been progressing with her races.
Rowlands Dream sat right off the pace but got a dream run through againstthe inside rail around the home bend. She was initially outpaced as the sprint kicked in but finished takingly sticking to the inside line to confirm the promise of her only other run 630 days ago. A big, strapping mare related to Ground Ball, she shouldgo on for this over hurdles and fences.
Two Shillings and Etoilerouge did best of the newcomers and look promising sorts. The latter, sent off favourite, did well to finish where she did as she was very green under pressure down the back straight, toiling in second last, but she plugged on and is another who will benefit from a proper test.
