A weak seller with ETHAN SNOWFLAKE adding to his course success in a novice handicap two seasons ago with the aid of first-time blinkers. He tracked the leader before going on with a circuit to go, and although pecking badly at the third last he soonrecovered to hold a lead of around five lengths before idling on the run-in and just holding on. He is regarded a bit of monkey by his handler but obviously has the ability to make his presence felt in this grade when everything falls right for him.

Aleemdar appeared to enjoy this better ground and looked a danger when moving into contention from three out. He kept on all the way to the line after being switched to the inside going to the last and may well have won in a few more strides. He shouldget even faster ground as spring emerges and can soon find a race like this.

Power And Demand stayed on in the closing stages without proving a threat, while Ray Mond travelled quite well for a long way but could only keep on at the same pace where it mattered most.
