The ground has eased to good to soft after further overnight rain and in a race run at a decent pace DAN'S HEIR was able to run out a comfortable winner. He had met a decent one when runner-up at Wetherby last time and this slightly easier grade and longer trip proved ideal. Always in a handy position he went on at the third last and had the race in the bag thereafter as he strode clear of his opponents. He clearly has taken to hurdling well and his shrewd handler can find further opportunities for him.
Magic Amigo ran his best race over hurdles and after being held up made good progress to come into contention after three out. He kept on without proving a threat to the winner, but is going the right way and is now handicapped. He can soon find a little race at a similar level.
Alexander Sapphire was close up for a long way but had no more to offer in the closing stages and just plugged on at the same pace.
Zuoave was soon to the fore but could also find no extra from three out.
The veterinary officer reported after the race that Top Of The Agenda had bled from the nose.
