Analyis of the race

This didn't take a great deal of winning and ALCOPOP, who seemed to appreciate the better ground, rallied after losing the lead with a mistake four out. He was happier without the blinkers which had been tried on his previous start, and as this was only his third run over fences, he may have a little improvement in him.

Double Blade had his ground but was never quite doing enough, while Dabus was held in fourth when he fell at the last.
