Analyis of the race

Mainly exposed sorts in this claimer, which was eventually won in good style by TOTALLY SCOTTISH, who came from off an ordinary pace and quickened up well after the last. He hasn't been easy to place in handicaps as he is still 9lb higher than for his last win back in November 2002.

Hopbine raced on the other side of the track to the winner in the straight, but had every chance.

I Got Rhythm has a poor record over hurdles, having won only once in 22 starts. She had every chance after going on three out and might be worth a try at around two miles.

Lord Lamb raced with his head up, as usual, but showed enough to suggest he might be able to pick up a small race, while this was a solid effort by winning plater Idlewild, who faced a stiff task at the weights.
