A Bit Of Fun, a course-and-distance winner, travelled best of all and looked the most likely winner two out. But he slightly stuttered at the final flight, lost a little momentum, and, not finding as much for pressure as the winner, was outpointed towards the finish.
Ambersong, back over hurdles after a recent Flat win, was well held, while Northern Shadows, who raced wide down the back straight, was also very comfortably held.
