Mont Etoile kept on quite well on the outside having been eighth on the home turn and is another who has improved for going up in distance, though her BHB rating of 83 may well suffer for this effort and she will not be easy to place.
Fellow Oaks entry Kaylianni got more of the run of the race, never too far away, but she flattened out slightly in the closing stages and may not quite have got home. She is another who will do better back in maidens. Marachi Band was always in touch but she was one of the most exposed fillies in the line-up and her proximity underlines the impression this is not great form as she has a BHB rating of just 72.
Allegretto was the eye-catcher of the contest as she was still well in rear 3f out and did very well to finish as close as she did, forced to come wide but making good ground in the straight. Her Oaks entry is optimistic but she looks better than she was able to show here and she is sure to win a maiden, at least. Fusili and Auction Room ran respectably but Cortesia betrayed her inexperience, pushed along 4f out and outpaced off the home turn.
