Typically few solid propositions in this mares' novices' selling hurdle but the form of LOSING GRIP's win at Market Rasen had not worked out badly, she had seemed to go too fast under an inexperienced claimer next time and benefited from the return of Dominic Elsworth to the saddle here, and was also suited by the decent pace here as she has gone keenly in the past.

She was always in touch, led before four out and accomplished her task in workmanlike style. She is no star but she has improved since dropped in trip and looks up to holding her own in modest handicap company judged on this effort - firmer ground should not be a problem for her.

Blackcomb Mountain was keen in the lead in first-time blinkers and also tended to hang - this is more her trip than 2m4f but she is less than straightforward.

Scolboa Arctic was dropped in class and showed her first sign of a little ability, one pace from approaching the final flight.

Pips Assertive Way weakened two out on her return from a break, while Ardent Way jumped badly on her hurdling debut.
