COURT ONE was left in the lead at that point and took full advantage of his opportunity, coming clear to score most decisively. He had hinted at a return to form on his previous start and ought to continue to give a good account in this company provided the ground stays dry.
But Smart Boy Prince would have given him plenty to do had he not come down three out as he had led from the sixth flight and still held the advantage when he departed. He has looked to need to dominate in the past but was in the process of running a good race.
Nobel was poised on the heels of the leaders and seemingly going very well when he was hampered and unseated his rider. He has improved with virtually every run over hurdles, bar when failing to stay over 25f, and there was nothing in this effort to suggest he is no longer on the upgrade - he could well make amends in similar company.
Titian Flame ran moderately while Minivet remains out of form.
Stepping back up in trip did not help North Landing who hit blundered at the fourth flight and seemed to lose interest thereafter.
