A three-month break brought a return to form from Samson Des Galas, who was always to the fore and led from the fifth flight until close home - he will be at least as effective returned to a longer trip.
Bargain Hunt could never get into contention on this drop in class, though hecame well clear of Eyes To The Right, who showed he retains a little ability on his first completed outing for a year and a half, and Tinian, who seems barely to stay. Komoto made mistakes and was never able to challenge. The ground may have been too soft for Valuable.
