So JONTYS'LASS may not have need to improve much on her modest previous form, leading from the fifth flight and holding on gamely. This drop in trip probably suited her, as did the less sticky ground, but she seemed to get the run of the race - in ground on which it was not easy to come from behind - and it remains to be seen whether she can confirm the form.
Treasured Memories confirmed the impression from her hurdling debut that she has ability, albeit edging left on the run-in, but Cloudless Dawn was below the form she showed at Haydock and probably needs better ground.
