Borzoi Maestro and Hello Roberto blazed from the stalls to set a furious pace which the former could not sustain in the final furlong but the latter deserves plenty of credit for only giving best to FOREST DANE, who has been running well at six furlongs and had the race run to suit. He looked in trouble two furlongs out when having to switch to get daylight but came home strongly to win going away.
HelloRoberto again showed she can win on turf when everything falls into place as she was not well drawn and had to blaze away against a rival early.
While a fast-ground winner here in the past, Whistler found the ground plenty fast enough after recent races on much softer ground and could not adjust and could never get competitive but this veteran again showed he likes the track. Great Belief veered badly right out of the stalls effectively putting Boanerges out of the race on his outside. One Last Time was reported to have lost a shoe in the race.
