Analyis of the race

Quite competitive as sellers go and it was BOANERGES, who has run well hereon more than one occasion in the past, who came with a long raking run downthe middle of the track to get on top inside the final half-furlong.Fit from a successful spell on the all-weather, he's equally effective onturf but this is his grade and he has no pretensions of flying any higherthan this. Genuine and reliable, he can continue to pay his way in lowgrade events.

Hadath ran an eye-catching race. Still last two-furlongs from home, he madesubstantial progress to burst through close home, and only narrowly failedto reel in the winner. Without a win in nearly four years on turf, he iscan find a similar contest given another furlong.

Renegade, never far away, had every chance but could only keep on at onepace when others were quickening inside the final furlong.

Imperium got a good lead from Stagnite up that far rail and was stilltravelling eye-catchingly well at the two pole but he didn't find as much asanticipated.

Mulberry Lad was another to make significant headway inside the finalfurlong but the principles all got first run on him and he could never landa blow having raced wide throughout.
