Connections have their eyes on a race at Pontefract on Wednesday where he would race under the fixed 6lb penalty, as the likelihood is that he'll be raised slightly more than that for this emphatic success.
The less-exposed Molem was 5lb higher than for his Lingfield win earlier this month and, having tracked across from his wide draw, he was always well placed. He took over at the furlong pole, but was soon swamped by the winner, who possessed an extra gear on the day.
Oh Boy showed little last term, but shaped with much more promise on his reappearance. He took them along early before weakening close home, and can improve for this.
Blue Line lost her place as the field turned into the home straight, but kept on well enough without ever landing a blow, to suggest she'd be able to build on this - perhaps when tackling a stiffer test of stamina and a more conventional track.
