They went no great pace, so that GRAMADA got the ideal ride, soon in front, quickening over 3f out and just holding on. She had the run of the race but her trainer is convinced this ground was firmer than the in-foal filly needs.
Shekan Star shaped well in the context of the race as she was 4lb out of the handicap and came from behind in a contest not run at all to suit, but finished well on the far side rail and just failed to get up. This was not a strong race and her reappearance win came in a banded contest, but this effort suggests she is up to scoring again in modest company, particularly when stepped back up to 1m4f.
Westcourt Dream raced too keenly for her own good on her reappearance, while the race was not run to suit Dispol Veleta or Awaken - both had something to prove and their relative proximity casts further doubt on the value of the form.
