Madaares may have been unsuited by the tight Catterick track on his final two-year-old start, as he showed a good deal more here, always prominent and leading over 2f out until just inside the final furlong.
The winner's stable-companion Emillion kept on nicely and hinted there may be better to come when stepped up to a distance more in keeping with her middle-distance pedigree - she is now qualified for handicaps and is worth looking out for at 1m2f+.
Bollin Dolly and Lennoxtown showed more than previously, coming clear of the rest -though the remainder appear a fairly limited bunch and it remains to be seen exactly what they achieved.
